Help Food For Thought Eliminate Childhood Hunger in Denver
We hope you’ll join us in our efforts to eliminate childhood hunger in Denver! Food For Thought relies on volunteers, generous donors, companies and organizations who provide support throughout the school year. Here’s how you can help!
Want to make a big difference in the lives of low-income students in Denver? Each PowerSack we provide costs $4, so even a small donation has a big impact. $128 will provide a PowerSack every Friday for an entire school year for one child. Consider making a recurring donation, a monthly donation goes a long way to helping us create a sustainable organization. No matter what amount you give, 100% of your donation will be used to purchase food which will be distributed directly to the students and families we serve.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of Food For Thought. As a 100% volunteer organization, we rely everyday on the help and generosity of people just like you! Because we deliver directly to students at their schools, we do not pack PowerSacks during the summer months. We will resume operations in late August or early September. Click here for information about summer volunteer activities. For groups of 10 or more, please check back with us in mid-July.
Are you part of a corporate or community organization that would like to make an on-going commitment to helping hungry kids in Denver? Consider adopting a school! We’ll pair your organization with a nearby school where students are hungry and provide you with all the support you need to successfully provide PowerSacks each week during the school year. Check out the HUNGER HEAT MAP!! For more information, please contact Bob Bell @ 720-201-9192.
Virtual Food Drive
Want to host a food drive for Food For Thought Denver? Because we don’t have the facilities or staff to manage food donations, we can create a virtual food drive for you! Because of our great partnership with Food Bank of the Rockies, your donations will go so much further than if you purchased food and donated it to us. For more information, please contact email@example.com.
