Volunteer Calendar

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Food For Thought Denver! To volunteer, simply select the location, date and job you would like to help with and sign up!  We use a platform called Helping Habit to manage our volunteer opportunities. ALL volunteers are asked to please pre-register for all volunteer opportunities so we can be sure and have the correct number of volunteers on hand and make it a great experience for everyone.

PowerSacks will be packed at two sites this year, MSU and FFT East. The MSU location is 1600 W. Colfax, across the street from the entrance to the MSU Regency Sports Complex and “under the bridge”.  The second location is at the Roth Living Warehouse at 16230 Airport Circle near Airport Blvd and I70 in Aurora. At the MSU location, all work is done outdoors, rain or shine, throughout the year.  In Aurora, packing is done inside the warehouse, but during the coldest months, the loading dock doors may be open and it might still get a bit chilly.

At Food For Thought Denver, we LOVE kids.  That’s why we do what we do!  However are packing sites are not very safe places for really little kids!  If you would like to bring your kiddos to Food For Thought, please make sure they are tall enough to reach into the bins on top of tables and they are old enough to understand and follow basic safety rules.

If you’d like to learn more about Helping Habit, please read the Welcome Letter and FAQs.

Food For Thought Denver would not exist without the help of our wonderful volunteers.  Thank you for helping us feed hungry kids in Denver!

GROUP VOLUNTEERING

Thank you for your interest in bringing a group to volunteer at Food For Thought Denver! To register your group, please select the location and date you would like from this page and share the link to that event directly with your group.  Generally groups will want to select the PowerSack packing events.  This can be done easily using the little white envelope SHARE icon which will provide a email link.  PLEASE do not just show up with your group.  Pre-registration is required of all participants.  If a date is not visable, it means all volunteer opportunities are filled for that date.  Our space is limited at both locations and large groups which are not pre-registered affect our operations and the volunteer experience for those who have pre-registered.

We encourage groups to make a donation to help us pay for the food you will pack! If you would like to make a donation to FFT before or on the date you wish to volunteer, please use the donate button on this website or contact us if you would like to do a check presentation or have pictures taken of your group for social media etc.

Thanks again for your support!
