Each year, the people of Colorado unite with a shared common purpose on Colorado Gives Day: to elevate their community and neighbors by fueling the efforts of nonprofits that make a meaningful change.
Food For Thought Denver is honored to be participating in Colorado Gives Day, coming up on December 5th, 2023. This event has been supporting nonprofits in Colorado since 2010, raising more than $415 million for local organizations. Colorado Gives Day is created by Colorado Gives Foundation and Presented by FirstBank.
Every donation made November 1st through Colorado Gives Day on December 5th is boosted by a $1M+ Incentive Fund. All participating nonprofits receive a percentage of the fund equal to the percentage they raise during Colorado Gives Day. For example, if we raise 10% for Food For Thought Denver, we get 10% of the Incentive Fund. Donating through Colorado Gives Day is the best way to maximize your donation to help feed kids in the Denver area.
The Food For Thought Denver organization is structured to keep our overhead costs to a bare minimum so we can channel our donation dollars directly to the needs of our student recipients and their families. Since we are a completely volunteer-based organization, we have no employees and pay no salaries. Overhead costs are generously covered by our board of directors and other supporters.
Just a $5 donation feeds a family of 4 for a weekend… Imagine how many families we can feed from your generosity during Colorado Gives Day 2023!
